Eek.. We’re finally back, and we’ve got a lot to share from the last 14 days.It’s going to be a looong drawn-out process, but we’re so glad you’re along for the ride..The house is all packed (mostly).The truck is here.
Tomorrow we take off to our new/old hometown..Pardon my absence tomorrow while I’m off having the third best day of my life!There are all kinds of things wrong with our new home, but we take them all on gladly..
It needs a ton of work on the inside to make it feel like a real home for us, but when you start with a shell like this, how can you go wrong?.
We were able to do a final walk-through over the weekend and got to see everything again and see if it was all just as we’d remembered it.Yes, of course it is.
It’s just a rocking chair.. And it’s pretty.They both are.. They’re inside right now, just because it’s so cold, but they’ll head out to the back deck probably next month..
They have this really glossy navy blue paint on them right now, and I’ll probably play with them just like this for the Summer, but in the Fall when I bring them back in, I think I’ll probably paint them something a little more neutral, so I can continue to use them willy-nilly in any room of the house..The next morning after I put these together, I came out of the kitchen to find that Kennedy went straight for the chair and was rocking away happily while she watched her cartoons.
